Wok Hei

I would give this restaurant six stars if I could! The Mauritian specialties on the menu are absolutely delectable. This restaurant is small, with around seven or eight chairs at counter seating, somewhat akin to a ramen joint. But what this place does not have in space in more than makes up for with the food, reasonable prices, and the accommodating owners, who are a kind-hearted and welcoming couple from Mauritius. They made me feel right at home, even though I tracked slush all over their floor due to the weather outside! The noodles were fried to perfection as the husband understands the value and necessity of a super-hot walk to really get the flavour correct and add that slight bit of char. The reverse bowl was absolutely wonderful with the perfectly runny egg on top! This is the kind of small family business that you want to support, and a meal here is worth seeking out from anywhere in the Montreal area and beyond. I cannot wait to go back for more!

The food is delicious. We had pork barbeque and chow mien.The hosts are and the prices are reasonable. I am definitely going back and would highly recommend this place!

I almost never write reviews, but this new asian fusion spot, Wok Hei, just blew us away with the explosion of incredible flavours and textures in their food. We are foodies and love to cook, so it’s exciting when we find a rare gem of a restaurant. This is it. We had the bbq pork, the Mauritian magic bowl with beef, and the general tao chicken. Each dish is beautifully presented and generous with the veggies and rice. Even the accompanying cucumber salad was incredible. The dining area is small but comfortable with mostly counter seating, but take out and delivery are also available. The chef/owner infuses the food with inspiration from his Mauritius roots, and both he and his wife provide a lovely service. We will be coming back!

What a sweet family run place. Really great fresh food at good prices. We tried the prawn rolls, Mauritian magic bowl with tofu, sweet and sour fish, and spicy general Tao fish. Veggies in each dish, great flavors, and best of all, my 3 year old loved it!

This is definitely a hidden gem in Montreal, from the service to the food this restaurant is amazing. My wife and I tried the Spicy General Tao Rice" and my god was it delicious

It sure did not disappoint!! The food is simply delicious and very authentic. We had Char Siu, Mauritian Magic Bowl and Moy Choy. Great flavors, tender meat and each dish was nicely put together. Great service and prices are reasonable. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.
